dasso is a proud participant in the work done for the recently opened Chengdu Tianfu International Airport. The capital of Sichuan province has recently opened an ultra-modern gateway for domestic and international travelers. Situated 50 kilometers East from downtown Chengdu, the metropolis is now one of three major cities in China (Shanghai and Beijing) to have built two international airports, the latest being the 520,000m2 Tianfu International Airport. The design language of the airport consists of three main themes: humanity, effectiveness and success- to which dasso’s contribution corresponds well with. dasso provided 20,000m2 of aluminum honeycomb Bamboo panels to the airport. These panels are class A fire resistant and have high durability; ensuring stability and longevity. These aluminum honeycomb Bamboo panels also act as acoustic absorption boards. They help reduce background noises, decrease echoes and minimize reverberation in large spaces.
