Vanke Center Shenzhen
The project is an office building that is elevated 15 meter (50 feet) above lush tropical landscape. The floating structure allowed provision of the largest possible green public space below the building. A total space of 130,000 m² (1.29 million Sq.ft) with all the office fixtures made from bamboo (interior and exterior design).

Vanke Center Shenzhen, designed by Steven Holl. Every component in this building that was supposed to be wood are replaced with bamboo.
Steven Holl Architects is a 40-person innovative architecture and urban design office working globally as one office from two locations; New York City and Beijing. The founder, Holl, proposing the theories of "Anchor Point" and "Phenomenal Zone," which emphasize the perceptual connection between architecture and its environment. One of his representative works: Beijing Linked Hybrid creates a three-dimensional community space through aerial bridges and has been awarded LEED green certification.
